Prediction

Jasmine Paolini, the number 10 seed, has performed well so far in the Poland Open. Given that she excels at working with clay, it is not altogether unexpected (12 ITF finals, 2 Challenger finals).

The Italian defeated Danka Kovinic in the opening match 6-1, 6-1, and then lost to Clara Burel in three sets, ultimately triumphing 6-1, 6-7(1), 6-0 and now she has reached the semifinals in Poland defeating Golubic.

On the other hand, Jasmine has had a difficult year, but she did make it all the way to the semifinals in Palermo last week. The 26-year-old will try to maintain the current speed now that he has gained some momentum. Her other notable accomplishments include quarterfinal appearances at the Lyon Open and Contrexeville Challenger.

No 5 seed Caroline Garcia is hoping to continue her outstanding grass-court performance into the second half of the year. She should be confident about her chances, given her 8-3 record on clay this season. The Italian player, who is 21 years old, has been a powerhouse at the ITF level and wants to step up her game.

She beat Martyna Kubka, ranked World No 472, in straight sets in the first round, and she appeared to be in good shape. In form, Garcia is a significant improvement. She recently beat World No. 1 Iga Swiatek. The player from Italy is now the overwhelming favourite to advance.
