Head To Head: 1-0

In the head-to-head matchup, Norrie is up 1-0 on Brooksby. During the 2022 Indian Wells Masters this year, the Brit  defeated him in straight sets.

Prediction

By defeating Kaichi Uchida 6-2 6-4, Cameron Norrie got off to a great start in Seoul. The Brit participated in the Laver Cup but had a disappointing performance, losing to Taylor Fritz in his lone encounter. Prior to that, he participated in a few Davis Cup matches. Of the three matches he played, he only managed to defeat Fritz.

The British player needs points to guarantee he returns to Turin after competing there last year. He is one of the top seeds and is predicted to have a successful tournament. The slower hard courts might be to his advantage. He consistently performs admirably on those, and earlier this year, he defeated Brooksby on one of them.

This will be an interesting clash because Norrie is a highly physically demanding player who enjoys long rallies and will undoubtedly be less aggressive than Brooksby. Because he is the more patient player, he is undoubtedly favoured and has a decent chance of winning this game.

Meanwhile, Jenson Brooksby has played two games and won both of them. The first one was a little challenging, but he managed to get through it and against Kwon Soon-woo, a native player, he played much better. The American defeated his opponent in a single set, displaying poise and offensive prowess that are crucial to his style of play.

Although he enjoys playing that way, he occasionally lacks the consistency required. It was unquestionably the situation when he previously fought Norrie earlier this year. Simply put, he was unable to disarm the British man and lacked the self-control to carry it through. He’ll probably get better in this one. His year-to-date record of 27-19 is respectable, but it also demonstrates a lack of consistency, especially on hard courts. He might be in trouble because he was 25-8 last year and is only 16-9 this year. Norrie won their only previous encounter and the two are anticipated to play in similar way and the Brit is expected to overcome tomorrow.
