Cadillac F1
Cadillac F1 are the latest entry in Formula 1, and they are the first new team to join the competition since 2016. They will be the eleventh team on the grid in 2026, and they have a vision set on evolving into a fully independent works team using GM-built engines. The team have managed to secure an entry into the 2026 season following years of planning and a strategic pivot away from the Andretti-led project.
The Cadillac F1 team will initially use Ferrari engines and gearboxes when they join the grid in 2026 but General Motors (GM) has been approved as an F1 power unit supplier starting in 2029 to power the Cadillac team with its own engines. GM’s engine development is underway, and they’ve already fired up their F1 power unit as well.
