2022 BWF World Tour Finals Final Day Results, Scores, Winners, & List of Champions
On Sunday, reigning world champion Viktor Axelsen was in top-form, as he completely outclassed Indonesian ace Anthony Ginting to win in straight-set by score of 21-13, 21-14 and capture this prestigious title for the fourth time in his career. Meanwhile, women’s world champion Akane Yamaguchi managed to finish the match in just two sets despite best attempts from Tai Tzu-ying who lost by score of 18-21, 20-22.
Elsewhere in doubles category final matches, Chinese shuttlers were in peak form as all qualified pairs won their respective championship matches to bring hat-trick of gold medals for China. In men’s doubles final, Liu & Ou won by score of 21-17, 19-21, 21-12 after an intense match against Indonesian pair Ahsan& Setiawan. Chen & Jia clinched women’s doubles title after dispatching Benyapa & Nuntakarn in straight-set via scores of 21-13, 21-14.
