Meanwhile, Thai shuttler Kunlavut Vitidsarn earned the gold medal for his country by winning the men’s singles category.

2023 BWF World Championships final day results, scores, winners, & list of champions
In the women’s singles final of the 2023 BWF World Championships, top-seed An Se-young completely outclassed former world champion Carolina Marin to emerge victorious by score of 21-12, 21-10 and clinch her maiden world title. Meanwhile, Kunlavut Vitidsarn overcame his early setback to win the men’s singles final against Kodai Naraoka by score of 19-21, 21-18, 18-21.
Elsewhere, Chinese women’s doubles duo Chen Qingchen & Jia Yifan defeated Indonesian duo Apriyani Rahayu & Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti to retain their world championship. However, Chinese mixed doubles pair Zheng Siwei & Huang Yaqiong failed to defend their championship after losing in the final against South Korean duo Seo Seung-jae & Kim So-yeong. On the other hand, Korean pair Kang Min-hyuk & Seo Seung-jae won the men’s doubles title after their hard-fought victory against Dane pair Kim Astrup & Anders Skaarup Rasmussen.

2023 BWF World Championships: prize money distribution
Unfortunately, none of the participating shuttlers will get any prize money from the 2023 BWF World Championships and the best performers will only earn medals. However, each champion from this prestigious event will be eligible to earn 13,000 BWF Points compared to the 11,000 BWF Points award for each division runner-up.
