According to the official schedule, 2023 BWF World Championships will be hosted in Denmark’s Copenhagen from 21st August through 27th August. In this event, second-seed Indian men’s doubles duo Satwik & Chirag will hope to continue their fine form and clinch the men’s doubles title. On 10th August, the draw for this event will be confirmed and players will get to know their first-round opponents.

2023 BWF World Championships schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & first-round draw
It is confirmed that the 2023 BWF World Championships draw will be hosted on 10th August at the BWF headquarters in Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur and will feature a total of 16 Indian badminton players, including HS Prannoy and PV Sindhu. At 12:30 PM IST, the draw for the 2023 World Badminton Championships will begin. Following the withdrawal of London 2012 Olympics bronze medalist Saina Nehwal, Indian ace PV Sindhu is the lone Indian shuttler in the 2023 BWF World Championships women’s singles draw.
Including her 2019 title win, PV Sindhu has won two silver medals and two bronze medals at the BWF World Championships. However, Sindhu has struggled throughout the 2023 BWF World Tour and failed to get past the first-round in seven out of fourteen events. Meanwhile, the men’s singles draw will feature ninth-seed HS Prannoy and eleventh-seed Lakshya Sen, who are both former bronze medal winners of this competition. Additionally, 2021 silver medalist Kidambi Srikanth will participate in this prestigious event.
