Teoh Mei Xing and Anna Cheong of Malaysia began their World Championships campaign with a victory today in Tokyo. The Syed Modi International champions defeated Germany’s Stine Kuespert-Emma Moszczynski in the opening round at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium with ease, winning 21-13, 21-15. Next, Mei Xing-Anna will clash against Jeong Na Eun-Kim Hye Jeong of South Korea in the second round.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium will host the doubles category tournament of the BWF World Championships from August 22 to August 28, 2022. The competition’s rich history and stellar reputation will serve as motivation for all participants to do well and win the desired gold medal.
24th August: Second-round matches will begin (5:45 AM IST)
August 25: Third-round matches will begin (10:00 AM Local Time)
26th August: Quarterfinals begin (10:00 AM Local Time)

2022 BWF World Championships Doubles Category First Round Results, India Score, And Winners
At the ongoing BWF World Championships, Treesa Jolly & Gayatri Gopichand of India won over Low Yeen Yuan & Valeree Siow of Malaysia and advanced to the second round of women’s doubles play. A score of 21-11, 21-13, and 31 minutes later, the Indians defeated the Malaysians in two sets. England’s Gregory Marris and Jenny Moore defeated India’s Venkat Gaurav Prasad and Juhi Dewagan in the mixed doubles competition in straight sets with a score of 21-10, 23-21.
Later same day, the French duo of Fabien Delrue and William Villeger defeated the men’s doubles duo of Krishna Prasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala, eliminating them from the competition 14-21, 18-21. Tanisha Crasto and Ishaan Bhatnagar, who were competing in mixed doubles, also had a poor performance, falling to the 14th seed duo of Supak Jomkoh & Supissara Paewsampran by scores of 14-21 and 17-21.
