In the men’s singles event of ongoing 2022 BWF World Championships, Viktor Axelsen continued his quest for gold medal as he advanced to the round of 16 stage after another straight set win against his opponent.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium will host the men’s singles competition for the 2022 BWF World Championships from August 22 through August 28, 2022. Wednesday will be a big day for Indian shuttlers as Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya Sen, and HS Prannoy will all be in action and hence, eyes of badminton enthusiasts will be glued to the screen for the entire duration.

2022 BWF World Championships Men’s Singles Second Round Results, Score, And Winners
On Tuesday at the World Badminton Championships, Viktor Axelsen easily advanced to the third round of the men’s singles competition. Axelsen of Denmark won the opening set 21-19 after trailing 19-16 and the second set 21-10 to defeat Mark Caljouw of the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Malaysian shuttler Ng Tze Yong was knocked out in the second round of the World Championships in Tokyo, two weeks after reaching his peak at the Commonwealth Games. Sitthikorn Thammasin of Thailand defeated world No. 42 Tze Yong in a 70-minute match by scores of 21-9, 10-21, and 21-19.
Meanwhile, Indonesian ace Jonatan Christie and Ginting both have qualified for the third round after winning their respective second round matches in straight sets.
