2022 Thailand Open Badminton Women’s Singles Second Round Results, Draw, Schedule, Fixtures, Players List
PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, is the last remaining Indian shuttler in the competition after sailing into the quarterfinals of the Thailand Open with a straight set victory on Thursday.
Sindhu, seeded sixth, defeated Sim Yu Jin, who had played a key role in Korea’s Uber Cup victory, 21-16, 21-13 in a second round match in just 37 minutes. Sindhu will meet second seed Akane Yamaguchi of Japan, who defeated Kim Ga Eun of Korea 21-23 21-15 21-16 in a second-round encounter.
