The Singapore Open 2022, often referred to as the Singapore Badminton Open 2022, is a badminton tournament that takes place in Singapore from July 12 through July 17 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and offers a $370,000 prize fund. This global competition is taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

2022 Singapore Open Badminton Men’s Singles First Round Results, Fixtures, And Players List
At the Singapore Open 2022, world champion badminton player Loh Kean Yew has easily advanced to the second round. On Wednesday, the hometown hero defeated Frenchman Brice Leverdez 21-10, 21-11 in just 31 minutes. Tommy Sugarto of Indonesia is the player who comes next for the sixth seed.
Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie of Indonesia also advanced without incident. Ginting, the fourth seed, defeated Tzu Wei Wang 21-19, 21-16, and his compatriot Jonatan Christie defeated Indian star Kashyap Parupalli of India with a score of 21-14, 21-15, to qualify for a match against Naraoka Kodai of Japan. Ginting will now compete against Chun-Yi Lin in the second round of Singapore Open.

Points Award System
The BWF scoring system was used to allocate points for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 500 competition. Winners of the Men’s Singles competition receive 9,200 BWF points, while losers receive 7,800. The large number of points up for grabs will undoubtedly inspire competitors hoping to move up the BWF World Rankings.
