In the women’s doubles first round of 2022 Singapore Open, the second-seeded Thai team of Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai easily defeated Simran Singhi and Ritika Thaker, winning 21-7 21-18 in 35 minutes.

The 2022 Singapore Open, a badminton competition featuring a $370,000 prize pool, will take place from July 12 through July 17 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The Singapore Indoor Stadium will serve as the competition’s location.

2022 Singapore Open Badminton Doubles Category First Round Latest Results, Upcoming Schedule ,Draw, And Players List

The Indian duo of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila qualified to the men’s doubles pre-quarterfinals of the Singapore Open Super 500 badminton competition on Tuesday. Arjun and Kapila, the only Indians competing, had some resistance in the opening match before easily defeating the German team of Jones Ralfy Jansen and Jan Colin Voelker 21-19 21-9 in 34 minutes. The Malaysian pair of Sze Fei Goh and Nur Izzuddin will be the opposition for the Indian team in the following round.

Shyam Prasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala were eliminated in the first round after losing to the local team of Hee Yong Kai Terry and Loh Kean Hean in a gruelling three-game match that lasted 50 minutes. They lost 21-15, 19-21, and 21-17. Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, two of the best men’s doubles players in India, have withdrew from the competition since the latter is still recovering from an injury.

The BWF scoring system was used to allocate points for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 500 competition. Winners of the Doubles category competition receive 9,200 BWF points, while losers receive 7,800. Prize Money Pool Distribution
