The defending Paralympic gold medalist Bhagat defeated fellow Indian Nitesh Kumar in a 53-minute SL3 final by scores of 21-19, 21-19 to retain his champion status.

2022 BWF Para-Badminton World Championships Final Day Results, Medal Winners, Scores, & Other Details
At the BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2022, India’s Pramod Bhagat successfully defended his men’s singles SL3 world championship by defeating fellow countryman Nitesh Kumar in straight games on Sunday in Tokyo. Bhagat defeated Kumar 21-19, 21-19 in 53 minutes to win his fourth singles gold at the World Championships.
Manisha Ramadass, who competed in women’s singles SU5, also took home a gold medal. During gold medal match, Indian shuttler Manisha defeated Mamiko Toyoda in straight-sets by score of 21-15, 21-15 in 30 minutes. Following these results, India managed to win two golds at this ongoing tournament. In the men’s doubles SL3-SL4 final, Indian ace Pramod Bhagat & Manoj Sarkar teamed up to win silver medal despite their best efforts. The men’s doubles duo lost against Indonesian pair Hikmat Ramdani & Ukun Rukaendi by score of 21-14, 18-21, 13-21.
