With a defeat to Tai Tzu Ying on Friday that ended in scores of 21-13, 15-21, and 13-21, Sindhu was eliminated from the Malaysia Open Super 750 tournament. Sindhu entered the contest having defeated Thailand’s Phittayaporn Chaiwan in a game that required a comeback but was no match for the flawless attacking play of Tai Tzu-ying.

BWF Malaysia Open Badminton 2022 Women’s Singles Results Today, Score, And Winners
Chen Yufei, the gold medalist from Tokyo 2020, defeated Okuhara Nozomi of Japan 23-21, 21-18 in the women’s singles round to go to the semifinals. The Chinese shuttler will take on Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei, who defeated Rio 2016 silver medalist PV Sindhu 19-21, 21-9, 21-14. After losing against Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying in the quarterfinals, PV Sindhu bowed out from the competition. Sindhu forfeited a game lead and After a valiant loss on Friday for Sindhu, none of the Indian shuttlers remain in the competition.

Points Award System
The BWF scoring system was used to calculate the points distribution for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 750 competition. Women’s singles champions receive 11,000 BWF points, while runners-up receive 9,300 BWF points. The enormous number of points up for grabs will undoubtedly inspire competitors hoping to move up the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
After distribution in accordance with BWF rules, the prize pool for the 2022 Malaysian Open, a BWF World Tour Super 750 event, will amount US$650,000. The winner of the Women’s Singles division also receives a total prize of $47,250, while the runner-up only receives $22,950.
