Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, two of India’s top shuttlers, withdrew from the upcoming Malaysia Open 2022 due to an injury scare for Satwik. He had a pulled muscle, yet he was still not fit to play. The trainers and physios encouraged him not to push himself too hard as the Commonwealth Games in 2022 get near.
Meanwhile, the top-seeded duo across all doubles events have progressed into the quarterfinal and remain strong contenders for the gold medal. In the women’s doubles second round match, Chinese duo Chen QC and Jia YF defeated their opponents in straight sets with a score of 21-12, 21-9.

Points Award System
The BWF World Tour Super 750 competition’s point allocation is determined by the BWF scoring system. In the doubles division, the winners receive 11,000 BWF points, while the losers receive 9,300 BWF points. Competitors wishing to advance in the BWF World Rankings will definitely be motivated by the massive number of points up for grabs.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
