Malaysia Masters competitions have been held annually since 2009, and the 2022 edition will be the thirteenth stop on the BWF World Tour. The Badminton Association of Malaysia is holding this competition with approval from the BWF.

The 2022 Malaysia Masters, a badminton championship with a US$360,000 total prize, will take place from July 5 to July 10, 2022, at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Indian badminton fans will have a lot of hope from doubles category as the Indian shuttlers will aim for redemption after their recent setbacks.
July 5- July 6: First-round matches will begin
7th June: Second-round matches will begin
July 8: Quarter-finals begin
9th July: Semi-finals begin
July 10: Finals begin
2022 Malaysia Masters Badminton Doubles Category First Round Draw, Fixtures, Players List
In Malaysia Masters, Gayatri Gopichand of India returns after overcoming an injury she sustained prior to the Thomas Cup. As a duo with Trees Jolly, she will compete against Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan in the opening round. The other Indian duo, Ashwini Bhat and Shikha Gautam, are also in the same bracket. In the opening round, they will take against the fourth-seeded team of Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota.
The third Indian pair, Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy, will compete against a qualifier in the opening round. They are in the same bracket as South Korean duo Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan, who are seeded second, and sixth-seeded Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida.

Points Award System
The BWF scoring system was used to allocate points for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 500 competition. Winners of the all events in competition receive 9,200 BWF points, while runner-up will receive 7,800 BWF points. The enormous number of points up for grabs will undoubtedly inspire competitors hoping to move up the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
The total prize money for 2022 Malaysia Masters is US$360,000 when the awards are given out in accordance with BWF regulations. Further, the winner of the doubles category will take home $28,440 compared to $13,680 prize money of the runner-up.
