The 2022 Korea Open will be the eighth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it will be hosted in conjunction with the Korea Open championships, which have been held since 1991. The Badminton Korea Association is hosting this competition, which is sanctioned by the BWF.

Sindhu, a two-time Olympic silver medalist, beat Busanan in straight games in her quarterfinal. Sindhu made a great recovery from a 2-5 behind in the first game with a string of victories. The Indian shuttler won the first game in style after winning eight consecutive points from a 13-10 lead.
In the second game, the world number 7 shuttler continued her dominance, winning 21-16 and finishing the match in 43 minutes. With this win, PV Sindhu qualified for the semi-final of 2022 BWF Korea Open, where she will face Korean shuttler S.Y. An.
