The 2022 Korea Open will be the eighth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it will be hosted in conjunction with the Korea Open championships, which have been held since 1991. The Badminton Korea Association is hosting this competition, which is sanctioned by the BWF.

In the quarter-final of 2022 Korea Open, Kidambi Srikanth of India defeated Son Wanho of South Korea in a three-game match to advance to the semi-finals. Srikanth won the third and final game by a comfortable margin of 21-12.
In one hour and two minutes, Srikanth won the quarter-final match 21-12 18-21 21-12, and he will face Jonatan Christie in the semi-final.
