The 2022 Korea Open will be the eighth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it will be hosted in conjunction with the Korea Open championships, which have been held since 1991. The Badminton Korea Association is hosting this competition, which is sanctioned by the BWF.

In the 2022 Korea Open women’s singles semi-finals, the home favorite An Seyoung extended her dominance against Sindhu, winning 21-14, 21-17. The game was 49 minutes long as Sindhu was defeated for the fourth time in a row by the Korean star.
With this win in straight sets, An Seyoung qualified for the final of 2022 BWF Korea Open in style, where she will face P. Chochuwong.
