The 2022 Korea Open will be the eighth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it will be hosted in conjunction with the Korea Open championships, which have been held since 1991. The Badminton Korea Association is hosting this competition, which is sanctioned by the BWF.

In the second round of 2022 BWF Korea Open badminton, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, the world’s number seven pair, defeated Singapore’s Hee Yong Kai Terry and Loh Kean Hean 21-15 21-19 in 36 minutes to advance to the quarterfinals.
In a mixed doubles match that lasted over an hour, Sumeeth Reddy and Ashwini Ponnappa lost 20-22 21-18 14-21 to the fifth seed Chinese combination of Ou Xuan Yi and Huang Ya Qiong.
The men’s pair of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila, on the other hand, retired mid-game after falling behind 5-8 in the first game to Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan of Indonesia.
