PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, was eliminated in the first round of the Indonesia Open Super 1000 event on Tuesday after losing in straight games to China’s He Bing Jiao. In the women’s singles, Sindhu was defeated by Bing Jiao in straight sets with a score of 14-21, 18-21. Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal withdrew from the tournament, which automatically ended India’s hope of winning any medals in the Women’s Singles category.
