HS Prannoy, an Indian badminton player, extended his outstanding form on Thursday, progressing to the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2022 in Jakarta. At the Istoria Stadium, India’s lone remaining challenger at the BWF Super 1000 tournament, HS Prannoy, ranked 23rd in the world, defeated world No. 12 Angus NG Ka Long of Hong Kong 21-11, 21-18. On Friday, HS Prannoy will face Denmark’s world No. 13 Rasmus Gemke in the BWF Super 1000 badminton event quarter-finals.

Viktor Axelsen, the reigning Olympic badminton champion, advanced to the Indonesia Open quarterfinals by defeating Lu Guang Zu on Thursday, June 16th. Following this win, he’ll face local favorite Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, who defeated Denmark’s Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus 21-17, 21-9.

Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia started the day with a 21-10, 21-13 victory over India’s Sameer Verma. In the last eight, he’ll meet world champion Loh Kean Yew.
