It is confirmed that second-seed Japanese pair Nami & Chiharu will face-off against the reigning world champions on Sunday with the prestigious India Open title at stake.

However, the mixed doubles semi-final saw third-seed Yuta & Arisa eliminate top-seed Zheng & Huang to avenge their last week’s loss at the final of Malaysia Open. Following their win, Yuta & Arisa have qualified for the summit-clash for Sunday and are scheduled to face-off against Chinese duo Wang & Hunag.

Third-seed Japanese pair Yuta & Arisa have advanced for their second consecutive championship match in the 2023 BWF World Tour after their valiant triumph against top-seed Zheng & Huang in the mixed doubles semi-final contest of the 2023 India Open. Only 7,700 BWF points will be awarded to the Malaysian Open champions Zheng & Huang after their exit from the semifinals.

2023 India Open: prize money distribution

As a result of the India Open’s promotion to the BWF Super 750 level, the doubles category winner will get $59,500 as opposed to the runner-up’s $29,750 prize.
