The upcoming BWF Hall of Fame 2023 Induction Ceremony will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia on Friday.
Last year, the BWF inducted Indonesia’s doubles legend Liliyana Natsir and China’s two-time Olympic gold medallist Zhao Yunlei into the BWF Hall of Fame.

Lin Dan is a Chinese former professional badminton player who was born on 14 October 1983 in Longyan, China. He is currently 39 years old and is a two-time Olympic champion, five-time World champion. He is also a six-time All England champion.
Interestingly, the Chinese shuttler earned his two Olympic golds in Beijing 2008 and London 2012 by defeating Lee Chong Wei both times in the final. Moreover, Lin Dan also earned his world titles in 2011 and 2013 after defeating Lee Chong Wei.
Lee Chong Wei brief player bio
Datuk Lee Chong Wei is a Malaysian former badminton player who was born on 21 October 1982 in Bagan Serai, Malaysia and is currently 40 years old. During his career, as a singles player, Lee was ranked first worldwide for 349 weeks. This included a 199-week streak from 21 August 2008 to 14 June 2012.
Lee Chong Wei has three silver Olympic medals after making three back-to-back Olympic finals from 2008 to 2016. The 40-year-old Malaysian badminton superstar is also a three-time Commonwealth Games champion. He has also previously won four world championship medals – three silvers and a bronze.
Throughout his entire career, Lee Chong Wei has won 47 BWF Superseries/World Tour titles.
Aside from their individual achievements, both Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei have helped their respective national sides win a number of medals at team championships as well like the Thomas Cup and Sudirman Cup.
