2023 German Open women’s singles day 4 results, semi-final schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & draw
In the women’s competition, incumbent Olympic champion Chen Yufei of China defeated Thai star Pornpawee Chochuwong with ease by score of 21-15, 21-18. Meanwhile, two-time world champion Akane Yamaguchi qualified for the semifinal after winning against Chinese shuttler Wang Zhi Yi with scores of 21-18, 16-21, 21-14. Elsewhere, Korean ace An Se-young has sealed her berth in the semi-final with a comfortable victory against her countrywoman Kim and He Bingjiao achived the same feat with her straight-set win against Hsu Wen Chi by score of 21-17, 21-13.

According to BWF, the winner of the German Open will receive 7,000 points, while the runner-up would receive roughly 5,950 points. Wang Zhiyi and Pornpawee Chochuwong were eliminated during the competition’s quarterfinal, earning only 3,850 BWF points.

2023 German Open: prize money distribution
Being a BWF Super 300 event, German Open will have a total prize pool of $210,000, with each singles division’s champion receiving $15,750. A prize fund of $7,980 will also be awarded to the runner-up, and $3,045 will be awarded to each semi-final loser. After her hard-fought loss against top-seed Akane Yamaguchi, the sixth-seed Chinese star Wang Zhiyi has crashed out from the competition and will return home with prize money of $1,260.
