2023 German Open: BWF points award system

According to BWF, the winner of the German Open will be awarded 7,000 BWF points, and the runner-up will earn around 5,950 points. Lee Zii Jia and Loh Kean Yew only received 660 BWF points as a result of their early elimination from the competition.

2023 German Open: prize money distribution

The German Open offers a $210,000 prize pool as a BWF Super 300 event, with $15,750 awarded to the champions in each singles division. In this important competition, it is known that the runner-up will win $7,980 in prize money and that each second-round qualifier will receive $735. Following his unexpected defeat to Lee in the second round, top-seeded Malaysian player Lee Zii Jia will get $735 in prize money.
