At the 2023 German Open, there won’t be any Indian shuttlers competing in the men’s doubles or women’s doubles event. However in the mixed doubles category, fans will be able to witness Ashwini Ponnappa and Sumeeth Reddy competing for the title. It is confirmed that Sumeeth & Ashwini will play Scottish pair Adam & Julie in their first-round match. According to the schedule, the aforementioned mixed doubles clash will take place at the Westenergie Sporthalle.

2023 German Open: BWF points award system

It has been revealed that 7,000 BWF points will be awarded to each of the doubles category winner from this tournament, while 5,950 points will be awarded to the runner-up. Additionally, it is known that every semifinal loser will receive 4,900 points.

2023 German Open: prize money distribution

Due to the fact that the 2023 German Open is a BWF Super 300 event, each doubles category winner will get $16,590 from a $210,000 total prize pool. Each of the second-round qualifiers will also receive $787.5, and the doubles category runner-up of this prestigious competition will collect $7,980.
