2022 French Open Badminton Women’s Singles First Round Draw, Fixtures, Players List

In the Women’s Singles competition at 2022 French Open, Saina Nehwal will be lone female representative from India. Saina Nehwal is scheduled to face Germany’s Yvonne Li in the first round and if she manages to advance for second-round, seventh-seeded Thailand star Pornpawee Chochuwong might be her next opponent. Akane Yamaguchi, the current champion, will face Michelle Li of Canada to start her title defence. Points Award System

The 2022 French Open, a BWF World Tour Super 750 competition, will award points based on the BWF point system. As per this system, winner of women’s singles competition will receive 11,000 BWF points, while the runner-up will receive 9,350 points. He Bingjiao, the Denmark Open champion, and Saina Nehwal, the only particpany from India, have a great chance to accumulate a lot of BWF points from this event and climb the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution

The overall prize purse for 2022 French Open will be $750,000 when awards are given out in accordance with BWF regulations.
