On Sunday, reigning world champion Viktor Axelsen managed straight-set victory against fellow Dane shuttler Rasmus Gemke by score of 21-14, 21-15 in men’s singles final of 2022 French Open. Following a nail-biting three-set final, Chinese shuttler He Bing Jiao defeated Carolina Marin to clinch her second consecutive BWF World Tour Super 750 women’s singles title.
In women’s doubles final, Malaysian pair Pearly Tan & Thinaah Muralitharan defeated fourth-seeded Japanese duo Matsumoto Mayu & Nagahara Wakana with final score of 21-19, 18-21, 21-15 after a thrilling encounter that lasted 72 minutes. Elsewhere in men’s doubles final, seventh-seeded Indian duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty clinched title after managing straight-set victory against Taiwanese duo Lu Ching Yao & Yang Po Han by score of 21-13, 21-19.
