From October 18 to October 23, the prestigious 2022 Denmark Open badminton competition with a $750,000 prize fund will be played at the Arena Fyn in Odense, Denmark. Olympic champion Chen Yufei and second-seed Tai Tzu-ying both had strong starts to their 2022 Denmark Open campaigns and successfully qualified for the Round of 16 stage.

2022 Denmark Open Badminton Women’s Singles Results Today, Score, Winners, & Upcoming Draw
Saina Nehwal, the lone Indian participant in the women’s singles competition at 2022 Denmark Open, crashed out after her surprise loss against Zhang Yiman by score of 17-21, 21-19, 11-21. Another match in the first round of women’s singles competition saw second seed Tai Tzu-ying win in straight sets by score of 21-16, 21-15 against Ongbamrungphan. Meanwhile, Chen Yu Fei of China defeated Supanida Katethong of Thailand in first match Wednesday, 21-12, 21-12, to start second day of women’s singles competition. Along with Tai Tzu Ying and Ohori Aya, Ratchanok Intanon also advanced to second-round after defeating Kirsty Gilmour 21-14, 21-12.
Following these results, all eight seeded players have advanced to second-round of competition via straight-set victories. It is evident that closing stages of Denmark Open will be a clash of heavyweights with all top-ranked shuttlers vying for the title. During Thursday’s Round of 16 matches, Akane Yamaguchi will face-off against Chinese Wang Zhiyi while Carolina Marin will clash versus another Chinese star Han Yue. Meanwhile second-seeded Tai Tzu-ying will resume her campaign with a second-round matchup against Japanese Aya Ohori.

BWF points will be used to determine the winners of the 2022 Denmark Open, a BWF World Tour Super 750 event. This method will award the winner of the women’s singles competition 11,000 BWF points, while the runner-up will earn 9,350 points.
