The renowned 2022 Denmark Open badminton tournament with a $750,000 prize pool will take place from 18th-23rd October at Arena Fyn in Odense, Denmark. Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy began their 2022 Denmark Open campaigns with impressive wins that guaranteed their spots in the Round of 16 stage.

2022 Denmark Open Badminton Men’s Singles Results Today, Score, Winners, & Upcoming Draw
On a busy day of 2022 Denmark Open, Indian ace Lakshya Sen stunned Anthony Ginting in the first round of men’s singles by score of 21-16, 21-12. Elsewhere, Indian star HS Prannoy won his tie against Zhao Junpeng in straight sets by score of 21-13, 22-20 and advanced to second round. In Thursday’s second-round men’s singles matches, Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy will clash against each other with spot in quarterfinal at stake. Meanwhile fellow Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth will face 2021 world champion Loh Kean Yew.
Viktor Axelsen, the top-ranked player in the world, easily advanced to round two of 2022 Denmark Open on Wednesday. In just 39 minutes, reigning world champion Axelsen defeated Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn in straight sets by score of 21-16, 21-8. Following his win, Axelsen will now play fellow countryman Rasmus Gemke in second round. Before his first match, fellow Dane Anders Antonsen had to withdraw from the competition and as a result, Shi Yu Qi advanced to next round via walk-over.

Points Award System
2022 Denmark Open, a BWF World Tour Super 750 competition, will award points based on the BWF point system. The winner of the men’s singles competition will receive 11,000 BWF points as per this system, while the runner-up will receive 9,350 points. Following their qualification to Round of 16, Indian shuttlers Lakshya Sen, Kidambi Srikanth, & HS Prannoy all have a strong chance to earn higher BWF points from this competition and climb the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
The entire prize pool for 2022 Denmark Open will be $750,000 once rewards are awarded in compliance with BWF regulations. Men’s singles competition winner will receive $52,500 in prize money from this pool, while the runner-up will receive a total of $25,500, per the rules.
