In men’s singles final, unseeded Chinese shuttler Shi Yuqi stunned fourth-seeded Lee Zii Jia after an intense battle to win 21-18, 16-21, 21-12. Meanwhile in women’s singles final, eighth-seeded He Bingjiao defeated compatriot Chen Yufei in a close-contest that ended 22-20, 12-21, 21-10 in her favor. With these results, both singles category final matches saw underdog claim victory against overwhelming favorite opponent.
Following an all-Indonesian men’s doubles final, fifth-seeded duo of Fajar Alfian & Muhammad Rian Ardianto defeated their second-seeded rival in straight sets by score of 28-26, 21-19. In women’s doubles final, top-seeded Chinese duo of Chen Qingchen & Jia Yifan snapped winning streak of unseeded South Korean duo Baek Ha-na & Lee So-hee to win comfortably via score of 21-12, 21-15. Elsewhere, third-seeded Chinese pair of Zheng Siwei & Huang Yaqiong defeated Feng Yanzhe & Huang Dongping in an all-Chinese final by score of 21-19, 20-22, 21-19 to clinch mixed doubles title.

After winning men’s singles event in 2022 Denmark Open, Shi Yuqi will receive 11,000 BWF points, while runner-up Lee Zii Jia will be awarded 9,350 points. Following her win in women’s singles final, He Bingjiao will also bag 11,000 BWF points, which will be vital to her rise in BWF World Rankings.

Once the rewards are given out in accordance with BWF guidelines, total prize pool for 2022 Denmark Open will be $750,000. Chinese shuttlers Shi Yuqi and He Binjiao will both return home with $52,500 prize money due to becoming champion of men’s and women’s singles category respectively.
