The application’s text was written in a lighthearted manner to appeal to people who think of themselves as English language experts. To further enhance the campaign, the brand also partnered with Internshala, an online internship training site.
In terms of media allocation, Internshala receives 10% of the funding, social media accounts for 40%, and OOH and email marketing account for the remaining 50%. The brand collaborated with Dharna Durga to use influencer marketing, presenting her as a hostess-ready aunt.
Chief Business Officer of Adjacencies + Bread, Britannia Industries Limited, Yudhishter Shringi, commented on this creative marketing strategy and expressed delight at the introduction of a special internship opportunity as a “Croissant Pronunciation Expert.” He emphasized the need for greater awareness and the fact that croissants are underrepresented in India despite their enormous potential.
He further revealed that the program was developed to improve the standard for educating people on how to pronounce croissants correctly. Shringi went on to say that the program aims to hire a specialist who can instruct people on how to pronounce the word “croissant,” which is frequently mispronounced, correctly over the course of a day.
