Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13, titled ‘Prescience,’ as aforesaid featured Boruto’s flashback with Kashin Koji. During this encounter, Koji demonstrated his ability to foresee all possible futures.
Noticing that most outcomes led to Kawaki being consumed by the Ten-Tails, Koji proposed teaming up with Boruto to help him master future techniques. To which, Boruto agreed, with the condition that he wouldn’t kill Kawaki.

Hokage, Shikamaru Nara, for questioning.
