Ishan Kishan was at his chirpy best as he pulled off the run out during the second ODI between Sri Lanka and India

Ever since Rishabh Pant has taken over the gloves for India, we’ve been treated to some absolutely riveting bits of commentary behind the wickets. The Delhi based wicket-keeper has been one of the most chirpy personalities in the Indian team with him not shying away from taking swipes at the opposition.

Ishan Kishan who is keeping wickets for India in Pant’s absence during the ongoing Sri Lanka vs India series ensured that Pant wasn’t missed. Kishan came up with a hilarious remark during the 2nd ODI as he executed a well worked run out of Lakshan Sandakan.

Sri Lanka vs India 2nd ODI: Ishan Kishan Pulls Off Well Timed Run Out

Kishan’s under arm throw saw him connect with the stumps before Sandakan could rush back into the crease. Kishan was caught saying, “Bol ke run-out kiya,” after executing the wicket to leave the commentators laughing.

Sandakan was looking to give the strike for the ensuing over to Chamika Karunaratne who played a gem of an innings to power Sri Lanka to a healthy 275-9. Propelled by his late cameo, Sri Lanka came out hammer and tongs as they looked to level the series to hammer India and reduce them to 116-5.

This isn’t the first time though that Kishan has showcased his confidence. The player who made his debut in the first ODI and marked his arrival with a six had gone onto say that he had already told the team that he would make his first runs with a six.

Kishan had made a half-century in the series opener, one which paired up with his 50 on debut in T20s as well. However, the Jharkhand player was sent back packing for a measly 1 run in the ongoing match as he chopped back Kasun Rajitha’s delivery onto his stumps.
