Cedric McMillan, a bodybuilder and the 2017 Arnold Classic Champion, died on Tuesday at the age of 44, according to reports. His longstanding sponsor, Black Skull USA, announced the news on their Instagram account. The family of McMillan has yet to issue a comment.
Marcelo Bella of Black Skull USA wrote,
“We regret to inform you that our friend and brother @cedricmcmillan passed away today. Cedric will be greatly missed as an athlete, comrade, friend, and father. Our prayers are with all his family and friends. He ‘fought the good fight’ and now he rests.”

McMillan was a Sergeant First Class and an instructor at Fort Jackson, SC, in Columbia, South Carolina. He presented himself as a family man who remained in touch with childhood buddies.

Death Cause Of Cedric McMillan
While there is no official cause of death, media stories claim McMillan died of a heart attack while on the treadmill.
McMillan had been delaying his return to professional bodybuilding due to recent health difficulties. In a November 2021 interview with GI magazine, McMillan revealed that he had tested positive for COVID-19 in 2020, which caused cardiac and respiratory problems. Later, he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He had to be put on life support due to a post-COVID-19 complication that was so extreme.
As a result of this, he resigned from the Arnold Classic in February at last, claiming health difficulties as the reason.
McMillan returned to guest pose at Armed Forces National 2021 after recovering from his post-COVID condition.
