An audio said to be of Ashneer Grover, the Founder of BharatPe had gone viral, one said to be of him abusing a Kotak Mahindra Bank employee
Ever since he’s appeared on the Sony TV show, Shark Tank India, BharatPe Founder Ashneer Grover has managed to emerge in the limelight with a section of the viewing audience irked by his petulant mannerisms and approach towards contestants on the show.

However, this isn’t the first time Ashneer has been subjected to backlash with the last couple of years seeing his style of working and decadent personality be lambasted. Reports have persistently done the rounds of him running an extremely tight ship at BharatPe with reviews from ex-employees going onto claim how the company mistreated and besmirched them.

In the midst of all this, an audio started doing the rounds on social media platforms, one alleged to be of Grover abusing and giving death threats to a Kotak Mahindra Bank NSE 0.65 % employee over margin funding for an initial public offering. While the veracity of the audio couldn’t be ascertained, many believed it to be of Ashneer owing to his controversial past.
The BharatPe Founder however vehemently denied the allegations against him with him talking about how the audio was fake with it being spread to try and vilify him. He has since gone onto delete the tweet, talking about how there was no need to keep it up with the audio having being taken of Twitter.
In his now deleted, Grover had said, “Folks. Chill! It’s a FAKE audio by some scamster trying to extort funds ($240K in bitcoins). I refused to buckle. I’ve got more character. And Internet has got enough scamsters:).”
