Best WWE Matches Of All Time: The Best WWE Matches of 2000s Ranked

Tons of WWE Matches happen every year but only some remain in our memory forever. The Sports Grail presents to you the best WWE matches of all time.

WWE was at its peak in the year 2000 with not only pay-per-views blowing the ratings, but even Raw, Smackdown and Sunday Night Heat. Some of these matches are even the best matches of all time.

Following Are The Best WWE Matches Of All Time From The 2000s

1. Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian vs. Dudley Boyz (Summerslam)

This was a rematch of their Triangle Ladder match at WrestleMania earlier that year and the very first official Tables, Ladders & Chairs match. Jeff attempting a Swanton Bomb from a 20 foot ladder, Christian flying from a ladder and hitting Matt with a DDT, and Lita pushing Edge and Christian off the ladder are just some of the big spots in this match.

It was won by Edge and Christian who took the tag team titles home.

2. Cactus Jack vs. Triple H (No Way Out)

Though Mick Foley would continue to fight after this Hell in a Cell match, it’s widely regarded as his retirement match, what with the emotion and the hardcore action. His Street Fight with The Game at Royal Rumble in the same year is also one of the best matches of this year.

Some memorable moments include Jack crashing into the announcer’s table from above the Cell and he lighting his barbed wire bat on fire. Triple H bagged the win with a pedigree after Jack crashed from above again, going right through the ring.

3. Kurt Angle vs. Rock vs. Stone Cold vs. Triple H vs. Rikishi vs. Undertaker (Armageddon)

In this match, Kurt Angle successfully defended his WWE championship in A Hell in a Cell match against six of the biggest names in WWE. By this time, the concept of Hell in a Cell was already three years old. In one of its memorable moments, The Undertaker chokeslamed Rikishi off the cell, onto the truck, brought in by Vince McMahon.

4. Triple H vs. The Rock (Judgment Day)

Triple H and The Rock make up one of the classic duos in WWE who have always given five-star matches. After an intense rivalry, they blew off the charts in this 60-minute Iron Match match with Shawn Michaels as the special-guest referee. The match saw interferences from Stephanie, Vince, Shane, X-Pace, Road Dogg and the long-awaited Undertaker. But these only added to the exhilaration.

It ended with The Game winning via disqualification at a massive 6-5 score.

5. Triple H vs. Chris Jericho (Fully Loaded)

It suffices to say that the year 2000 was a high-time in the career of Triple H. Jericho had defeated him for the WWE title at Raw and had also kissed his wife Stephanie at King of the Ring. With a strong built-up, their rivalry had a great chemistry. They fought all over outside the ring, eventually leading to The Game hitting Y2J with a back body suplex through the announce table.
