Newly signed for the Brooklyn Nets, Ben Simmons is yet to make a debut at the franchise as he hasn’t played a single game since he joined it. 7th in the Eastern Conference Nets face an ugly elimination with a terrible score of 4-0 loss over Boston Celtics at the NBA Playoffs. While the Nets’ 2022 season here over Simmons has a reason why he couldn’t make it to the Game 4 as the Aussie was anticipated to be part of it.

The Australian was seen on the bench recently while he was nowhere seen at the Game 4 for his side and now he has a reason to not be the part of the home to contribute to his side.

The questions arise for the star if he is really injured or makes an excise whenever he doesn’t want to play and gets paid without playing. According to sources, the player pulled himself out of Game 4 because his back felt sore while the Nets believed Simmons will have his debut on the day.

Sources say that Sunday’s event prompted frustration and disheartenment across the organisation. Following Simmons’ withdrawal, the franchise went through a meeting among officials, Simmons and his agent Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, on Monday. Sources say that the newly signed point guard informed the Nets that a metal block exists for him, dating in a part to last summer’s postseason and that is building tension which can also result in a trigger point for his back issues.

Now other questions arise if he really has those issues or is faking it because health issues don’t get resolved very soon and if he can bounce back early for the Nets.

Following his injury and not being able to contribute to the Nets’ struggling season, Stephen A. Smith took another dig at Simmons saying, He (Irving) got nothing on Ben Simmons. Nobody is worse than Ben Simmons,” said Smith for the former Philadelphia 76ers star, in a video posted by him on Twitter.

He further said that Simmons is the “weakest, most pathetic, excuse for a professional athlete,” that not just America but the entire sports have ever seen in their history. The kept criticising him via his video and said that he has never seen someone more “pathetic” than Simmons.
