Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy is a Japanese manga series written and drawn by Kazushi Hagiwara that began serialisation in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1988 and lasted until 2012.

However, the series did not end when the final individual chapter was released in 2010, and it is now considered to be on hiatus for the previous 12 years, much like Berserk and Hunter x Hunter were at the time (although both series have since received publication resumptions). Unfortunately, the English translations of the manga only produced 19 volumes before the worldwide publication was halted in 2010.
