Fuji TV confirmed the premiere date for the Barakamon Live Action series on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, a month after its initial announcement in May 2023, know its cast and characters
Furthermore, the television series has announced other cast members that will appear on the show.

Barakamon by Satsuki Yoshino tells the story of aspiring calligraphy Seishuu Handa. While he is highly skilled, he lost his cool when his award-winning piece was branded unoriginal, resulting in serious consequences. As a punishment, Seishuu’s father sent him to the Goto Islands so that he might think on himself.

Fuji TV announced in May 2023 that the Barakamon Live Action series would premiere in July. The series confirmed that Yosuke Sugino would play the protagonist, Seishuu Handa.
After a while, it was revealed that Miyazaki Ririsa would be joining him as Naru Kotoishi. Following that, Fuji TV announced on Thursday, June 8, that Barakamon Live Action would air on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. The television series will show on Fuji TV every Wednesday at 10 p.m. JST. Additionally, the Barakamon Live Action series introduced new cast members.
Hiroshi Kido, the son of the village elder and a high school student in the Goto Islands, will be played by Keito Tsuna. Hana Kondo, who will play Tamako Arai, an aspiring mangaka, will be joining him. Meanwhile, Hana Toyoshima will play Miwa Yamamura, Tamako Arai’s companion with a boyish disposition. Tamoko Kido will be played by Kaori Yamaguchi. Finally, Kazuki Iio will play Yuujirou Kido, the village chief and Hiroshi’s father.
Barakamon fans were astonished to find that a live-action series based on the manga was in the works. Given that the anime was released nearly a decade ago, several fans interpreted it as a hint to rewatch.
Others, on the other hand, were far more interested in viewing the live-action series. They didn’t know how to add a new drama because they had too many on their to-watch list.
Fuji TV also aired snippets of Seishuu Handa and Naru Kotoishi actors Yosuke Sugino and Miyazaki Ririsa interacting. Their chemistry was deemed cute by many. They hoped to see the two actors take on their parts and bring the drama to life shortly. Fortunately, the launch of the series is only a month away.
