Career
In 2007, Tamim Iqbal participated in his first One Day International. He served as the national team’s vice-captain. December 2010 through September 2011. He is regarded as Bangladesh’s all-time best opening batsman.
He is also the first batter from Bangladesh to reach 10,000 runs in a single season. He was one of the four Cricketers of the Year and Wisden’s Test Player of the Year in the 2011 Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack. He is the second player from Bangladesh to receive the honour.
Tamim made the highest first-class cricket score by a Bangladeshi batsman in January 2020 when he scored 334 not out for East Zone in the first round of the 2019–20 Bangladesh Cricket League competition.
