2023 Badminton Asia Championships singles & doubles final schedule, date, venue, & latest results
At the 2023 Badminton Asia Championships in Dubai, Loh Kean Yew defeated Chinese opponent Lu Guang Zu 21-19, 21-15 to qualify for the final. During his semi-final tie, Loh defeated the Chinese in just 47 minutes. On Sunday, the 25-year-old will compete against Indonesian ace Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, who defeated Tsuneyama Kanta of Japan 21-13, 21-16 in the other semi-final.
An Se Young, the number two seed in women’s singles, had to fight hard to defeat Chen Yufei, Olympic champion, 16-21, 21-11, 21-19. The shuttler from Chinese Taipei, Tai Tzu Ying, defeated first seed Yamaguchi Akane 21-12, 16-21, 21-15, and will face the South Korean in the championship match.

2023 Badminton Asia Championships: prize money distribution
The BWF stipulates that each singles category winner of the 2023 Badminton Asia Championships would get $30,000 from the $400,000 total prize pool. Additionally, the singles runner-up will be awarded $15,200 while the semifinal losers will only receive $5,800. Following their hard-fought semi-final loss, world champion Akane Yamaguchi & Olympic champion Chen Yufei will both receive $5,800 in prize money.
