Due to unforeseen circumstances, fifth-seeded Lakshya Sen withdrew from 2022 Australian Open. Elsewhere, Sameer Verma will begin his campaign with first-round clash against local-favorite Nathan Tang. However, Indian shuttler Mithun Manjunath will feel unfortunate to draw second-seeded Loh Kean in his tournament opener.
