With the win, Kyrgios and Thanasi got crowned with their first Grand Slam doubles title at the Rod Laver Arena where they defeated the opponents with a 7-5, 6-4 in straight sets.
Kyrgios serves and Thanasi’s powerful shot made it possible for the players to achieve this goal as the first pair from home to win at Melbourne Park since 1997.

Yesterday, it was Kristina Mladenovic of France and Ivan Dodig of Croatia who paired against Australian pair Jaimee Fourlis and Jason Kubler to win the title of the Mixed Doubles at the Australian Open 2022 with a 6-3, 6-4 score easily where both of them managed to dominate the Aussies completely in a final that master for 78 minutes.
For Mladenovic, it was for the second fine that she won the mixed doubles career title.
