The Astana Open is a very recent addition to the ATP tour. To make up for tournaments that were postponed owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, it was first contested in 2020. The first contest was won by John Millman.

Venue

The National Tennis Center in Astana, Kazakhstan, will host the competition.

Schedule 

October 1-2 will see the qualification rounds. Beginning on Monday, October 3, the first and second matches in the main draw are played through Thursday, October 6.

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively, there will be quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.

Players, Seeds And Draw

The top seed in the draw is World No. 1 and current US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz. The top seeds in the competition are Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Novak Djokovic, Andrey Rublev, and Jannik Sinner, all of whom are top-10 competitors.

In the mix are former Grand Slam winners Andy Murray, Marin Cilic, and Stan Wawrinka. Hubert Hurkacz, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Karen Khachanov are three other top 20 players to keep an eye out for.

The other participants, including Grigor Dimitrov, Gael Monfils, Diego Schwartzman, and Lorenzo Musetti, withdrew for a variety of reasons. The majority of the best male players on the tour have nevertheless arrived in Kazakhstan to compete.
