The Paris Olympic Games, the year’s biggest sporting event, will take place in less than six months. There are several weight categories and divisions in the Asian Weightlifting Championships, including women’s 49 kg, men’s 55 kg, women’s 59 kg, men’s 61 kg, and more. The divisions range from junior to senior levels. Women’s +87 kg and Men’s +109 kg are the highest and most difficult categories.
There will be almost 230 weightlifters competing from 34 different countries, including Olympic, Asian, and world champions. Great players like Ruslan Nurudinov, Lo Ying-Yuan, and Akbar Djuraev will be competing at the event.
There will be three gold medallists from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics competing in the Asian event. Here is all you need to know ahead of the event.
