More About Silva And Ortiz

Former champion Tito Ortiz not only returns to competition for the first time in two years, but will also be making his professional boxing debut. He last fought for Bellator and Combate Americas in 2012, and fought one fight for the Golden Boy Promotions. Recently, Ortiz was also elected to the Huntington Beach, California city council. He briefly served as mayor pro tempore, but resigned in less than six months.

As for Anderson Silva, this will be his third time competing in a boxing ring. In his last match, he bagged a victory over former boxing champion Julio Caesar Chavez Jr back in June. He exited UFC after more than a decade, as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all-time. Rumors had also connected Silva to have a potential bout with Logan Paul, but discussions never reached serious levels.
