Commentating on the match, Gavaskar expressed his frustration with Parag’s approach, questioning the utility of his talent without proper thought.

What Did Sunil Gavaskar Say?

“Seriously, seriously? What’s the use of all the talent if you are not going to think? What kind of shot is that, seriously? So much talent.

“If you don’t have the temperament, it won’t work. So what if you had a few dot balls? You can still make up for it,” Gavaskar remarked.

Parag’s dismissal was a turning point, triggering a collapse that saw RR lose three wickets in the span of 15 balls. The 2008 champions never recovered, ultimately losing by 36 runs as SRH advanced to the final.

Earlier in the match, SRH, known for their high-scoring innings this season with record totals of 277 and 287, struggled until Heinrich Klaasen boosted their score with his fourth fifty of the season.

Rajasthan’s Trent Boult had made early breakthroughs, dismissing Abhishek in the first over and then sending back Rahul Tripathi (37) and Aiden Markram (1) in the fifth over.
