In what may be his final Danish Superliga game, Thorup took charge of yesterday’s 1-1 draw against Copenhagen. In addition, the Dane was questioned about the Carrow Road job but remained silent. Thorup’s first club as manager is Nordsjaelland.

He worked his way up to become manager in January of last year, and in that time, he has won 34 of his 66 games in that capacity. Simultaneously, Wagner arrived in Norwich and emerged victorious in 31 of his 75 matches.

His tenure with Young Boys and Schalke preceded his move to Carrow Road. Still, Wagner’s time at Huddersfield, where he won 51 of his 154 games and was promoted to the Premier League in 2017, moulded his career in England.

With nine league games under their belt, Nordsjaellend is now fourth in the Superliga rankings. A strong statistical approach was used to operate Nordsjaelland, and Thorup is known for developing young players.
