Since there has been a detection of heart muscle inflammation, Davies is ruled out for any football action in the neat future.

The news of Davies’ heart condition comes as a huge blow to Julian Nagelsmann’s side who recently felt the absence of the 21-year Canadian star even more when they lost to Borussia Monchengladbach. Davies’ heart muscle inflammation detection comes a short while after his recovery from Covid 19, which had forced the player to miss Bayern’s opening game of 2022.

So here’ taking a look at Alphonso Davies’ injury update, probable return, injury history, in addition to Bayern Munich player’s injury list.

Ahead of his trip to Koln, here’s what Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann had to say about Davies’ condition, “Yesterday during our follow up examination that we do with every player that has had Covid-19, we detected signs of mild myocarditis i.e. an inflammation of the heart muscle.”

The German giants’ head coach also went on to say that Davies has put training on hold for the time being and won’t we available for the next couple of weeks. That means we definitely won’t be seeing him play against Koln, Hertha Berlin on January 23rd , and in Bayern’s important home game against RB Leipzig. We are also expected to see the 21-year old Canadian international warming the bench during his club’s Champions League fixtures next month.

A number of medical examinations are yet to be carried out in Munich to determine the exact duration of the Canadian full- back’s recovery.
